We have an exciting opportunity for an Asset Support Coordinator on a 6 month FTC to provide a professional and efficient customer service as part of a dedicated team for Home & Community Maintenance. You will take ownership of enquiries, keeping customers informed and effectively support with the planning, prioritising and completions of works.

Freebridge Community Housing is the largest provider of housing in West Norfolk, set up in 2006 to receive the transfer of homes from the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk. Today, we own and manage around 7,000 homes across West Norfolk, making a difference to thousands of customers within communities across an area of almost 550 square miles. We have an annual turnover of £30m and employ well over 200 people, including our own Property Services team. Over the last 14 years, there have been numerous achievements, not least delivering our tenants’ promises and bringing homes to the Decent Homes Standard, affording our customers a much better quality of living.

Please note this position is a 6 month fixed term contract.

Requirements

  • Use a range of access channels to receive and respond to customer requests including: o   Interpreting customers issues within their homes or community areas for repair works. o   Applications for customers to make changes to their home which require permission. o   Applications for adaptations to support customers to live independently in their home
  • Work with colleagues to respond to customer requests and enquiries, taking ownership
  •  Build and maintain strong working relationships with operatives, surveyors and contractors that enables learning to support with continuous service improvements
  •  Understand customer circumstances and availability to appropriately prioritise and schedule works, minimising customer disruption
  • To support with communication to customers for planned works, complaints, disrepairs, landlord permissions, adaptations, etc

Knowledge and Experience

  • Excellent planning and organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences and situations 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience of working with customers in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer focused with the ability to ensure service levels are maintained in line with required standards
