This is an exciting opportunity to come and join our PAN London Neonatal Retrieval Team, based within a busy Teaching Hospital in North East London. We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Neonatal/Paediatric Intensive Care Practice Development Nurse, who is keen to enhance the skills and confidence of our continually developing team; someone who is able to create an environment for staff development that is supportive and encourages staff education. You will have exposure to the operational aspects of running a transport service, and delivering education/ outreach learning to both our service users and the NTS team. If successful you would be welcomed into a friendly multidisciplinary team . There is also the opportunity to train to become flight competent, (currently privately provided). Main duties of the job

We are a PAN London Neonatal Retrieval Team, based within a busy Teaching Hospital in Northeast London. We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Neonatal/Paediatric Practice Development Nurse, who is keen to enhance the skills and confidence of our continually developing team; someone who is able to create an environment for staff development that is supportive and encourages staff education. The post holder will provide continuing support to all clinical staff in their delivery of nursing care in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, and through a process of support/supervision enable staff/teams to assess, prescribe/develop, implement, and evaluate standards/programmes of care, providing advice and support to develop methods to evaluate care delivered where required. Ensure that agreed Standards are followed to provide a safe environment for both the children and relatives. Ensure that effective communication exists between themselves, nursing colleagues, medical staff, multidisciplinary teams, patients and/or their relatives, providing specialist advice and support where appropriate. Deliver educational programmes in relation to Clinical Practice and Professional Development to support service delivery.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential

RGN/RSCN / RN Child with current NMC Registration Neonatal Intensive Care Current Tertiary NICU/PICU/Retrieval Role - minimum 3 years at B6/7 ENB 405 or equivalent Assessing and Mentoring Qualification Educated to degree level or working towards Evidence of NICU/PICU teaching experience Evidence of advanced Neonatal/Paediatric resuscitation training

Desirable

Leadership course/development programme Formal Teaching and Research experience Evidence of participation in QI project/audits Evidence of continuing professional development
