Shape the Future of Neonatal Care as a Practice Development Nurse

Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Neonatal Nurse to join our team as a Practice Development Nurse. In this vital role, you will play a key part in shaping the future of neonatal care by fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within our specialized unit.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design, deliver, and evaluate engaging training programs for nurses at all levels, ensuring they possess the latest knowledge and skills in neonatal care.
  • Mentor and supervise student nurses and newly qualified practitioners, providing guidance and support to enhance their clinical competence.
  • Collaborate with senior nursing staff to develop and implement best practices within the unit, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of current research and advancements in neonatal care, incorporating evidence-based practice into your teaching and mentorship activities.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive learning environment for all nurses, fostering teamwork and collaboration.

Your Qualifications:

  • Significant post-registration experience in neonatal nursing, demonstrating a deep understanding of the specialized needs of newborn infants.
  • Proven expertise in designing and delivering educational programs for healthcare professionals.
  • Strong mentorship and supervisory skills, with a passion for guiding and supporting the professional development of others.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, enabling effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
