About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Neonatal Transport Practice Development Nurse to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the skills and confidence of our staff, creating a supportive environment for staff development and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide continuing support to clinical staff in delivering nursing care, collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team to assess, prescribe, develop, implement, and evaluate standards and programs of care.
  • Ensure that agreed standards are followed to provide a safe environment for patients and relatives, promoting effective communication between staff, patients, and relatives.
  • Deliver educational programs in relation to clinical practice and professional development to support service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, ensuring a quality-focused approach to patient care.
Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Sick Children's Nurse (RSCN) with current NMC registration and experience in Neonatal Intensive Care.
  • Current tertiary NICU/PICU/Retrieval role with a minimum of 3 years at B6/7 level.
  • ENB 405 or equivalent qualification.
  • Assessing and Mentoring Qualification.
  • Educated to degree level or working towards.
  • Evidence of NICU/PICU teaching experience and advanced Neonatal/Paediatric resuscitation training.
