Job summary
An exciting opportunity hasarisen for a highly motivated Prescribing Paramedic within our Practice. Youwill work as part of a multi-professional team who currently offer a highstandard of primary care, chronic disease management and enhanced services toour registered population. The role is rewarding and will require strongclinical skills coupled with an enthusiasm to support the practice in offeringa first class primary care service.
Main duties of the job
The successfulcandidate will hold an autonomous practitioner or equivalent qualification, beable to prescribe independently. Primary care experience preferable but notessential. The successful candidate will have the ability to maintain excellentstandards of patient care, be self-motivated and have the ability to work as anindividual or part of a small team as necessary. A positive attitude to changeand development is also required. Support and teaching from GPs.
The appointed applicant will be required toensure that his or her own skills are developed and maintained to ensureclinically safe practice is delivered at all times. There will be opportunity,and practitioners are encouraged, to undertake professional development/courserelevant to their role and regular appraisal

The role will be within Farnham Park HealthGroup. The practice is an innovative, friendly, forward-thinking practice,working collaboratively within Farnham PCN. The successful applicant will shareour ethos and commitment to delivering the best possible care to our patients.We have 4 Partners, 6 Salaried GPs, 1 Advanced Paramedic Practitioner, ClinicalPharmacist and an excellent multi-skilled practicenurse team. List size17,500. EMIS Web, AccuRX & Docman with Workflow Optimisation.We are part of Farnham Integrated Care Services working in collaboration withlocal practices offering same day access for urgent care along with MSKPractitioners and Home Visiting Services. X-ray, ultrasound andphlebotomy services available within Farnham Centre for Health. We arealso a Training Practice. CQC rated 'good' in November 2019. 6 weeks annualleave, competitive remuneration package.
Job description
Job responsibilities
The post holderwill be an experienced Prescribing Paramedic, who, with freedom to act withintheir professional boundaries, will provide care for the patient presentingwith undifferentiated symptoms, from initial history taking, clinicalassessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of their care. They willdemonstrate safe, clinical decision-making and expert care for patients withinthe general practice. They will work collaboratively with themulti-disciplinary general practice team to meet the needs of patients,supporting the delivery of policy and procedures. In order to work atthis level, the requirements for an independent prescriber must be met.
