Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate General Practitioner to fulfill 6-8 clinical sessions in a supportive healthcare environment. The practice is situated in a modern facility with convenient access to transportation and ample parking. Our health center offers various services, including walk-in x-ray, ultrasound, and physiotherapy.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing their own patient list, with an average of 14 patients per session, including both in-person consultations and telephone appointments. The role includes a weekly duty doctor triage session, and we encourage special interests within the practice.

About the Practice

This position is within a forward-thinking healthcare group that collaborates closely with local healthcare services. Our team consists of experienced professionals, including partners, salaried GPs, and various support staff, all committed to providing high-quality patient care. We utilize advanced clinical systems and are recognized for our training capabilities.

Job Duties

Each session will consist of:

  • 8 face-to-face appointments (15 minutes each)
  • 6 telephone consultations (10 minutes each)

Daily team meetings and weekly clinical discussions are integral to our practice. Home visits are conducted as necessary, supported by a dedicated paramedic team.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Administrative tasks, including referrals and lab results
  • One duty doctor session per week for urgent requests
  • Participation in clinical meetings and daily huddles
  • Engagement in quality improvement initiatives
  • Mandatory training compliance
Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Recent experience in UK general practice
  • Full GMC registration and inclusion on the medical performers list
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience with the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF)
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

  • Completion of training as a General Practitioner
  • Current DBS clearance
  • Evidence of continued professional education
Skills and Knowledge
