Main duties of the job

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POST:

Answering general enquiries, explaining surgery procedures, making new and follow-up appointments, and receiving requests for repeat prescriptions. Care navigates and sign post patients to the service they will need. Utilise the Systmone clinical system to ensure efficiency of appointment system and monitor flow of patients to clinics. Receiving and updating requests for home visits. Receive and convey messages verbally and electronically. Sort and Process Incoming mail following the document management protocol. Process patients online requests. Assist patients in completing surgery forms and understanding of instructions. Undertake personal responsibility in respect of security, fire and health & safety. Opening/Closing of surgery, reception and all other rooms as required.

Role summary

PatientCare Coordinators will undertake reception duties as part of the role,supporting both the administrative and clinical teams in delivering a caringand professional service for patients, ensuring high standards of data recording,and fulfilling all administrative tasks to ensure that the Practice isoperating as an effective organisation.

Key duties & responsibilities

Call handling

Navigating patients to appropriate internaland external services based on individual patient needs

Managing Reception Front desk

Prescription Processing

Liaising with other outside agencies includinghospitals, ambulance control or other bodies

Handling incoming emails from other organisations

Handling incoming mail and deliveries

Completion of tasks

Checking and securing the premises and settingthe security alarm

Any other duties as may be allocated from timeto time according to the needs of the Practice.
