Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Band 2 Administrator to join one of our Neighbourhood Teams in Bromsgrove.

The Bromsgrove Neighbourhood Team is a forward thinking, friendly, hardworking, dynamic team that is continuously looking to improve and develop as the demand for the service we deliver changes. We are seeking to appoint an administration assistant to support the team consisting of Community Nurses, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapists, Healthcare Assistants and Administrators working with GP and Social Care colleagues.

We will provide you with resources to develop and progress, as well as flexibility, continual professional development and a wide range of wellbeing and support. There are part time and full time opportunities available. This will include being part of a bank holiday and weekend rota.

Main duties of the job

This is a busy service and your main role will be to be the first point of contact for patient telephone calls. You will need to take messages clearly and deal with information that is both confidential and sensitive and occasionally distressing in nature. You will also support the wider team with administration tasks including supporting on our Electronic Patient Record System EMIS.

You will also be taking calls and dealing with clinical team members and supporting them with sharing of patient information and use of information technology.

You will provide a full range of administrative support to the whole team. You must have excellent communication, organisational and IT skills.

Educated to academic Level 2 ( GCSE Grade A-C, NVQ2, OCR/RSA2, City and Guilds 2) in a Business Administration-related subject Or Considerable recent NHS administrative experience and will be expected to undertake the relevant level 2 qualification on appointment to post I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer.
