Role

CHE is looking for a Project Coordinator with excellent organisational skills to join our support staff team. This is an interesting and varied role working closely with researchers and other Project Coordinators to provide effective coordination, planning and administrative support. The work will primarily focus on the Thanzi Programme - a major well-established programme of work led by CHE in collaboration with partners in East and West Africa and elsewhere in the UK.

As a Project Coordinator on the Thanzi Programme, you will work with the Programme Director, Capability Building Lead, Programme Manager and fellow Project Coordinator, to coordinate Thanzi's training activities and resources (e.g. the Thanzi Programme Health Economics MSc Programme, Global Health Economics Hub). Another key element of the role is to support CHE’s Data Governance Group (DGG) in the management of research data applications, arrangements for receipt of data, and adherence to data governance requirements at all stages. This role will also provide coordination support to other CHE projects and activities, as required.

We are looking for applicants who have experience of providing first-rate project coordination support, possess excellent organisational and IT skills, and have the ability to liaise confidently with a wide range of internal and external contacts at all levels, communicating effectively both in writing and verbally.

The role will require you to work proactively, using your own initiative, and the ability to work on your own or as part of a team, producing work to specific deadlines.

Skills, Experience & Qualification needed

Level 3 qualification. (Qualifications at this level include A levels. Please view the full list). Experience coordinating projects working with a range of stakeholders Experience in arranging, servicing and facilitating meetings and events (e.g., preparation of agenda and taking minutes, coordinating invitations, enquiring and making reservations with meeting venues, organising and booking travel) Demonstrable knowledge of the requirements and tools of good project coordination (including financial administration) Good planning and organisational skills with a good attention to detail, including the ability to work flexibly to meet deadlines and work under pressure Communicate effectively in verbal and written formats, including the use of a variety of digital tools Experience of preparing and presenting statistical information and reports Use digital technologies including Google applications and/or Microsoft Office
