The Stockholm Environment Institute’s York Centre, at the University of York (SEI-York), is recruiting a Project Coordinator to grow our team of dedicated support staff. SEI York is a team of 50 staff and 16 PhD students, conducting and supporting impactful research about the environment and sustainable development around the world. We work with a range of organisations including research councils, government departments, charities, businesses as well as international partners such as the United Nations. SEI York has a broad research profile covering five main research areas: air quality and climate change; critical environmental governance; sustainable consumption and production; citizen science; and urban environments, human health, and wellbeing. We aim to ensure that there is a supportive culture at all levels and across all staff groups and offer a range of family friendly, inclusive employment policies and flexible working arrangements. The Air Quality, Climate and Environmental Change (AQCEC) team works internationally to support the development of integrated strategies for the mitigation of air pollution and climate change. This research supports the activities of the Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC), as well as research projects assisting national and sub-national governments plan strategies to achieve development benefits by reducing impacts on human health, crop yields, and contributing to the global drive to combat climate change.

**Role Description**:
The focus of the post is to support three global integrated assessments currently being developed by the CCAC: an economic assessment of the ‘cost of inaction’ on climate change, an agriculture and food systems assessment and a nitrous oxide assessment. The post-holder must be able to demonstrate a good track record of project coordination experience, possess excellent IT and strong interpersonal skills, enjoy working as a member of an international team, be prepared to learn new skills and have a flexible approach to managing a diverse workload. You will need to communicate effectively with a wide range of people both internal and external to the organisation and from across the world. There will be opportunities for international travel to workshops as required. This is a full time role with a minimum of 0.8 FTE being considered. This role is fixed term for a period of 12 months.

**Skills, Experience & Qualification needed**:

- Level 3 qualification. (Qualifications at this level include A levels. Please view the full list). We also welcome applicants with equivalent non-UK qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience of managing large-scale projects
- Ability to take responsibility for delivering work initiatives, interpreting, and reporting information, communicating in verbal and written formats, and using digital technology.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others, deliver quality service, develop self and others, and actively champion respect, inclusivity, equality and diversity.
