Objective

Your role as a Sales Manager is to be responsible for leading the A2P Messaging trading activities , developing, maintaining, and managing the relationships with partners, and for further developing new opportunities specifically with new OTTs, with a goal to grow direct margin of this segment.

You will also act as the figurehead between the company and the clients, formulate, maintain strategic planning ideas, sales activities and integrate Monty Mobile’s products/services into the market.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, mentor, train, and lead the messaging sales team, if applicable, on sales strategies to achieve sales targets and conduct Sales techniques training sessions with the coordination of the respective parties.
  • Work closely with the Sales Director to develop sales strategies tailored to the specific needs and opportunities to be able to acquire new OTTs.
  • Oversee the development of strategic customer planning sessions and reviews.
  • Develop, drive, and manage sales activities to grow revenues and direct margin in the A2P Messaging field that support and exceed forecasts.
  • Acquire new partners and customers with a focus on contributing to the direct margin and revenue increase of the OTT & A2P Messaging Business.
  • Collaborate and lead the operational end-to-end implementation of the contracts from signature to full-service deployment.
  • Lead the day-to-day sales & buying activities with strong sales focus on specific destinations.
  • Oversee and handle all financial, technical, legal, and administrative issues relating to the assigned customers.
  • Conduct regularly report on sales performance to senior management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Attend industry events to network with relevant stakeholders, gain industry insight, and represent the Business Unit in the marketplace.
  • Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, product development, and customer support to ensure a unified approach to customer acquisition and retention.
  • Build and maintain effective long-term relationships with customers & oversee team members’ relationship building with customers.
  • Present team performance reviews & appraisal reports and ensure best practices are being implemented.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Telecom Engineering, or any related field.
  • Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 8+ years of experience in the Messaging A2P/P2P, Messaging trading environment, and OTTs.
  • Professional proficiency in Local Language and English required.
  • French is a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software preferably.
  • Strong knowledge in A2P, enterprise sales, and SMS.
  • Strong Connections with OTTs
  • Strong technical and commercial skills and familiar with industry standards.
  • Experience in customer support is a must.
  • Strong Market knowledge and analysis.
  • Time & Budget Management.

  • Ability to solve problems quickly and completely.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication.
