We are exclusively representing a partner to leading manufacturers within the advanced technologies sector, who offer a range of niche products and solutions, covering a wide spectrum of technologies. Their portfolio includes interconnect, sensors, communications, photonics, imaging, magnetic components, power supplies, and embedded computing​.

They are looking to hire an Sales Manager to be field based in the UK. This individual will be focused on the Photonics and Imaging product line. This individual will have a strong technical electrical/physics background and is comfortable in a client-facing commercial role.


The essential experience is:

  • Has an electronic/ Physics education
  • Experience selling either Photonics or Imaging products
  • 5 years of Sales experience
  • Happy to travel to customers in the UK


Job Responsibilities:

Proactively identify new customers and target markets to grow and convert a sustainable demand creation funnel.

Follow-up and develop business leads with new and existing customers.

To maintain customer profile forms to ensure business strategies are clearly visible.

Ensure close working relationships with key suppliers and conduct monthly reviews of key projects.

Achievement of monthly and annual sales/margin targets and personal objectives.

Maintain a good understanding of all the product groups to improve cross sell opportunities.

Attend regular meetings to discuss progress to sales forecasts and activities to ensure objectives are being met.

Present and demonstrate to customers the benefits of the products in terms of specification, quality, price, technical benefits, logistics support, timely delivery, etc.

Successfully negotiating, implementing, and managing contracts & winning orders to meet the customer & company’s expectations.

To participate in Exhibitions, Sales meetings, and other meaningful activities as required.
