A leading innovative legal firm is seeking a Senior New Business Manager to join one of their regional offices. In this role, you will lead and develop business development and new business initiatives across the People Platform, which includes Employment and Pensions teams, and private client teams. You will also work closely with the marketing team within the firm’s people advisory consultancy.


The Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic business development support for the People Platform, ensuring alignment with firm goals and advising fee earners.
  • Collaborate with Platform Head and Group Champions to identify and launch new products and services that integrate legal and advisory offerings.
  • Ensure effective pitches and proposals, develop and produce targeted sales messages, and train fee earners to identify new business opportunities.
  • Prioritise and manage activities with work referrers and third-party partners, ensuring effective ROI.
  • Target events at the right attendees, set clear objectives, and ensure robust follow-up in collaboration with the Events Team.
  • Identify and execute cross-selling within the group, ensuring a coordinated approach with the Client Experience team and other Senior New Business Managers.


The Candidate:

  • Extensive experience in business development, preferably within a legal or professional services environment.
  • Strong project planning, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex marketing concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Collaborative, flexible, and proactive, with a 'can-do' attitude and the ability to build trusted relationships with C-level stakeholders.
  • Proven line management experience and the ability to drive strategic initiatives.
