The role will also have an influential role and influence on broader global sales strategy and opportunities.


The role will require an aggressive, energetic, self-starter mentality with an established skill set in solution and relationship enterprise sales. They will enable and support the global GPA sales community by implementing and maintaining strategies, structures, and accountabilities ensuring optional positioning and alignment of the GPA “Global” value proposition within key account opportunity pursuits and customer engagement activities.



The ideal candidate will have direct experience strategically positioning Audio-Visual and/or Unified Communication Solutions to the Enterprise market. We will consider closely related industries.



Responsibilities:


The Global Business Development Manager will be a natural “Hunter”, creating and developing (both individually and in partnership with GPA Regional Business Unit sales teams) revenue-producing relationships with decision-making end user stake holders and executives within targeted global enterprise accounts. The role will specifically include:

  • Individually, and in partnership with GPA RBU’s, evaluate, develop, and manage targeted customer account pursuit plans.
  • Coordinate and manage strategic sales and business development related relationships and initiatives with GPA’s preferred manufacturer partners to enable integrated GPA/Partner collaborative and integrated account mapping and pursuits.
  • Whether individually or with RBU’s, and where applicable in leveraging other GPA corporate team SME’s, develop of customer specific “Win Strategies” in response to formal or informal customer proposal requests.
  • Play an active role in specific and broader templated content development efforts to optimize the presentation of the GPA value proposition for such opportunities.
  • Partner with and support EMEA Account Managers and RBU teams as necessary to support customer presentation, preliminary programmatic approach, and strategy development
  • As customer relationships and opportunities develop and are awarded, effectively transition active day to day account management and program delivery responsibility to the appropriate and relevant GPA RBU(s)
  • Support ongoing general account and stakeholder specific relationship building opportunities to deepen GPA’s capacity to be recognized as a “Strategic Partner/Business advisor.
  • Provide oversight and monitoring of key customer relationships as an executive GPA sponsor once opportunities are assigned to an RBU, providing both proactive and reactive customer escalation and feedback paths as necessary for such customers.
  • Play an integral role in the preparation and tracking of GPA EMEA and related Global revenue and related expense budgets.
  • Partner with peer GPA Regional Sales Directors (Americas, EMEA and APAC) to enable and leverage the sales operations leaders across each of these regions to drive and support business development opportunities from within their regional sales teams.
  • Maintain weekly/monthly/quarterly reports and ensure any/all deadlines are met when requested.


Skills and Experience:

The likely candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of direct sales and business development leadership/management experience within the global meeting and collaboration industry, or a similar level of experience in a related/like technology industry with direct relevance to the expanding/converging technology enabled smart workplace space.
