The CarPlan brand was created in 1961 as the umbrella brand for Tetrosyl's entrance into the retail car care market.

Job Brief:


We are looking for an experienced National Sales Manager to contribute to our company’s sales objectives and be an “Expert” in the UK Automotive Aftermarket. Selling Tetrosyl Group products and distribution partners’ products, the responsibilities will include managing a portfolio of existing customers nationally as well as continually prospecting to and securing new business customers; Regional Accounts, Group Account Members & Independents helping to build customer relations, support promotional offers & assist with training when required. Reporting to the UK Trade Director.


In the hybrid role, you will require to work independently and efficiently using creativity and thorough knowledge of sales processes to provide innovative ideas for business growth. Outstanding communication and presentation skills are essential for this position, and you will be working with a strong support team from head office across marketing, sales and operations.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve a defined sales target
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned accounts
  • Negotiate and close new agreements with small, medium and large customers
  • Monitor and analyse performance metrics and suggest improvements from inception
  • Prepare weekly, monthly and annual sales forecasts
  • Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities
  • Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs
  • Support and attend Group & Factor Trade Shows
  • Liaise internally with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency
  • Stay up-to-date with new product launches

Requirements:


  • A minimum of 5 years field-based sales and account management experience in the UK Automotive Aftermarket selling similar products
  • Proven sales background with Experience of Motor Factor business or manufacturer selling into accounts or end users and an extensive network of current contacts in the sector
  • Demonstrable evidence of achieving and exceeding sales targets throughout your career
  • Experience working independently and also part of a team
  • Excellent customer service attitude with proven negotiation skills
  • Outstanding communication skills with an eye for detail
  • Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Availability to travel as needed regionally and nationally as required with overnight stays
  • Knowledge of BI tools, Microsoft Office Suite and HubSpot
