The hotel comprises 131 bedrooms and penthouses, a striking restaurant and bar, plus excellent Meeting, Conference and Wedding facilities.
A rare opportunity has arisen for a Director of Sales to join the team .
Overall Job Purpose
- Maintain and grow existing corporate client base through systematic research and penetration of each account
- Develop new business across all segments as required through systematic research, active telesales and appointment making to drive incremental and new revenue to the hotel
- Identify strategies to secure profitable conference, meetings, and banqueting business
- Drive and follow up all sales leads in an accurate and timely manor to maximise revenue
- Support and drive local Food and Beverage activity and events as required
- Drive revenue to meet and exceed budget expectations
- Be proactive in the local business community to drive awareness and a general positive vibe in the community.
Principal Accountabilities:
- To be aware of new business, for both rooms and M.I.C.E. coming to the area ensuring the Hotel is their first-choice hotel or venue.
- To develop strategic account plans detailing objectives, timescales, and sales methods to support the defined account strategy.
- Researching and qualifying potential direct customers with meeting, training, conference, and banqueting business. Securing these leads through own research but also working with hotel Revenue office to ensure that all leads are passed across to be follow up.
- To ensure regular and relevant pro-active sales activities including board spotting, closing days, business park drops familiarisation trips and client presentations & events.
- To work and support conversion with the central Sales teams across all sectors to ensure full top to bottom account penetration for all central agents and clients
- To benchmark the hotel offers and prices regularly in the market place.
- To lead and develop strong working relationships with the revenue office team, to create and execute a focused sales strategy.
- To attend local sales and networking events.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- 1- 3 years in a Sales driven environment Hotel experience preferred but not mandated
- Detail-oriented, with demonstrated record of accomplishment of follow through and delivery
- Excellent presentation skills
- Structured Systematic Sales approach
- Self Confidence
Competencies:
- Self-motivated with ability to work on own, lead or within a group
- Motivator for hotel teams with less sales knowledge
- An effective communicator
- Positive approach
- Influencer and supporter (does - to get things done)
Personal Profile:
- Can interact at all levels
- Commercial thinker and results driven
