The ideal candidate will support a wide variety of activities including recruitment efforts, employee relations and HR reporting. Advise and counsel managers, supervisors, and administrators in HR practices. Provide information to employees about regulations, contract language and policies, and provide general support. Ensure compliance with international, national, and local employment laws


  • Serve as a resource for employee inquiries, employee relations issues and investigations.
  • Administer pre-employment testing and background screenings and conduct new employee orientations. Advise and support managers on department resourcing requirements in accordance with Company policy, coordinating the recruitment and selection of personnel as required.
  • Maintain relationships with key agencies and support the rate review process.
  • Assist managers with preparing job descriptions and defining role requirements.
  • Assist in the recruitment process and prepare job offers and contracts as and when required.
  • Oversee the weekly offshore manning reports and set up monthly meetings to review manning against contract and justification of differences.
  • Proactively build and maintain relationships with managers to identify people issues and advise/assist in managing issues before they escalate.
  • Research best practices for the development and implementation of relevant policies and procedures. Ensure that current policies, practices, and communications are compliant with federal, state, and local legal requirements; keep abreast of new and anticipated legislation; enforce adherence to requirements and advise management of needed actions.
  • Provide up to date employment law/procedural advice in line with company policy to line managers on all HR issues such as disciplinary, grievance, appeals, maternity, paternity, redundancies, and absence management in order to improve employee relations and maximize the effectiveness of the HR function, ensuring compliance with all local labor laws.
  • Support disciplinary and grievance procedures including attending hearings, preparing minutes, and issuing all relevant paperwork.
  • Provide support of referrals for absence levels and long-term absences for both onshore and offshore.
  • Tracking and booking for onshore employees offshore medical certification
  • Support rig up man and down man processes.
  • Attain a comprehensive understanding of the workings and capabilities of the HR system (Oracle Fusion).
  • Maintain and oversee the HR system to ensure up to date and accurate information is loaded.
  • Support in the tender review process.
  • Support the maintenance and improvement of ‘people’ strategies, related practices, processes, and policies.
  • Assist as necessary with talent management and succession planning initiatives.
  • Prepare and update HR policies and procedures including the employee handbook to ensure that they meet the needs of the organisation, in line with current legislation and where possible, aligned with Corporate.
  • Actively promote company HR policies and procedures and proactively communicate these to the company.
  • Support in the employee relocation process.
  • Prepare routine reports (HR KPIs, Org. Charts and other reports as requested), research and analyse information, recommend courses of action, and provide appropriate and timely responses.
  • Update the Calamari system for tracking and monitoring holiday for onshore employees
  • Participate in on-call rota
