Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

Reports to: HR Director

Level: Mid-Senior Role

Salary: Up to £50k + great benefits


About the role:

We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist/Senior HR Advisor who will support the HR Director and the wider HR team in daily operations and delivering our people strategy. The ideal candidate will be a true generalist with experience across the employee lifecycle including recruitment, performance management, employee experience and engagement. This role will also support the delivery of DE&I and wellbeing strategies, so previous experience with these is desirable.


In this role, you will:

  • Report to the HR Director, you will be working closely with the rest of the HR team to ensure that all HR queries are being dealt with efficiently
  • Support the delivery of all daily HR operations, covering the full employee lifecycle
  • Be responsible for end-to-end recruitment and selection process (working with line managers and agencies) while actively promoting Aurora employer brand
  • Work with the HR Coordinator to ensure that all onboarding and offboarding processes are completed efficiently, that probations and any other employee life cycle changes are processes correctly
  • Confidently handle employee relations, coaching and guiding managers as required
  • Advise management on best practices for absence management, performance management, and any other people related matters
  • Provide support with all learning and development activities, including promoting our E-learning system and delivering management workshops
  • Advise on policies and procedures, reviewing those in line with the changing employment law
  • Actively promote and deliver our employee wellbeing and engagement activities, proactively contribute to continuously improving our offerings and create new programmes as needed
  • Support the creation and delivery of DE&I strategy and employee wellbeing strategy
  • Be aware of changes to employment law and best practices to regularly update our HR policies and procedures
  • Work with marketing on internal communications by providing materials for internal newsletters
  • Any other HR projects and ad hoc HR tasks as required
  • Occasional travel to other sites (all within UK)


Skills and experience you will need to succeed in this role:

  • Confident with broad operational HR experience & solid technical knowledge. 5+ years in HR would be an advantage here
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role in a fast-paced environment
  • CIPD part qualified/qualified or HR degree desirable
  • Tech Savvy with great knowledge of HR systems, previous experience with HiBob would be an added plus
  • Previous L&D experience
  • Good understanding of UK employment law
  • Results oriented and highly organised
  • High attention to detail
  • Proactive – always looking for ways to improve processes and propose effective solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to build rapport and influence people at all levels
  • Self-motivated professional
