Our client is a pioneering advertising technology business that leverages Open RTB and Prebid to revolutionise the programmatic ad market. By making the market more efficient, transparent, and environmentally friendly, they are at the forefront of the next generation of digital advertising infrastructure.


Role Overview:

They are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Sales Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving the business forward by selling into a major media agency. This position requires a deep understanding of programmatic media trading and a proven ability to cultivate and manage high-level relationships within the media industry.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sales Development: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to establish and grow the companys presence within the media agency, focusing on leveraging their unique value propositions.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at the media agency, ensuring their needs are met and exceeding their expectations.
  • Market Expansion: Identify and target new business opportunities within the media landscape to drive revenue growth.
  • Deal Negotiation: Negotiate and close high-value deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with business objectives.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, ad operations, product development, and engineering, to ensure the seamless onboarding and support of new clients.
  • Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor sales performance, providing detailed reports and analysis to inform strategic decisions and identify areas for improvement.
  • Industry Insight: Stay abreast of market trends, competitive intelligence, and industry developments to position the business as a leader in the space.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in media sales, with a significant portion spent in programmatic media trading and servicing high-profile clients. Prior experience selling to major media agencies is highly desirable.
  • Track Record: Demonstrated success in achieving ambitious sales targets and developing long-term client relationships.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the online advertising ecosystem, programmatic, and the unique challenges and opportunities within the advertising space.
  • Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a talent for presenting complex ideas in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with HTML, web technologies, and a keen interest in blockchain technology and its applications in digital advertising.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, business, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
