Bardo St James's, is an Italian fine dining restaurant in the heart of London. We are looking for a skilled and passionate Sous Pastry Chef to join our esteemed team.


As Sous Pastry Chef, you will play a crucial role in our pastry section, working closely with the Executive Chef to create memorable desserts that delight our discerning clientele. You will also be responsible for overseeing and training junior members of the pastry team.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop and execute innovative and seasonal dessert menus aligned with Bardo's Italian theme.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the pastry section, ensuring the highest standards of quality, consistency, and efficiency.
  • Prepare and produce a variety of delectable desserts, pastries, and baked goods.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train junior pastry chefs and kitchen assistants.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to strict hygiene and food safety regulations.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the pastry section by sharing creative ideas and demonstrating a passion for excellence.




What We Are Looking For:



  • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef in a fine dining or high-volume environment.
  • Solid foundation in pastry and dessert techniques, with an interest in Italian pastry traditions.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively train and motivate a team.
  • A creative spirit and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently and maintain composure under pressure.
  • A commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and consistency.
