Sales Account Manager - Ingredients B2B
Alexander Steele is recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer of milled & cereal products.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team in the UK as a Sales Manager - reporting directly into the Sales Director.
This role will focus on maintaining & winning business with B2B manufacturing accounts ranging from small SME's to larger blue chip organisations.
This position plays a critical role in building and maintaining strong relationships with existing UK customers while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities across our portfolio of food ingredients within the region.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and secure new oat milling business opportunities, including potential customers, partnerships, and distribution channels.
- Identify and secure new ingredients business opportunities across all product lines in oat milling and malting.
- Act as primary contact for major accounts, maintain strong relationships, address needs, resolve issues to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to upsell and cross-sell oat milling and malt ingredients products.
- Assist in development and implementation of the sales strategy to the assigned market, aiming to achieve budgeted sales and growth targets.
- Track and analyse sales performance metrics, market trends, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and make data- driven decisions within the assigned market.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and presentations for senior management, provide insights and recommendations specific to the assigned market.
- Liaise with customers and product innovation team on new product development.
- Develop proposals and presentations tailored to the assigned market.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Degree in business, marketing, food science or related field.
- Minimum 5 years progressive sales and account management experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated experience in the food processing industry and commodity markets specific to the assigned market.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated presentation and negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service, capable of developing and maintaining strong customer relationships.
- Self-motivated, results oriented with demonstrated ability to achieve targets and drive revenue growth.
- High level business acumen, with the ability to understand and navigate complex business environments.
- Fluent in English, both oral and written.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Valid passport with the ability to travel within the UK, EU, and international markets.
