Role Overview for Sales Account Manager: Aviation Chemicals
As a Technical Sales Account Manager, you will be crucial in maintaining and nurturing relationships with an existing client base, primarily located in the UK. Using your knowledge of aviation chemicals (sealants, lubricants, paints, coatings, sprays etc), you will manage core customer accounts, ensuring clients receive top-tier service and support. This role involves a blend of sales, account management and business development, focusing on client retention and identifying growth opportunities within your region.
Key Responsibilities for Sales Account Manager: Aviation Chemicals
- Account Management: Serve as the primary contact for a portfolio of clients, ensuring their needs are met with the company’s products and services.
- Client Visits: Conduct quarterly visits to client sites to maintain strong relationships, gather feedback, and explore new opportunities.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within your assigned region, while primarily focusing on existing accounts.
- Technical Expertise: Utilise your knowledge of chemical products (e.g., lubricants, sealants, gels, and paints) to provide clients with informed advice and solutions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and delivery of services to clients.
- Reporting: Regularly report on account status, including client feedback, sales performance, and potential growth areas.
Requirements for Sales Account Manager: Aviation Chemicals
- Proven experience in sales account management, ideally within the aerospace, defence, or chemicals sectors.
- Strong understanding of chemical products, particularly lubricants, sealants, gels, and paints.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Willingness to travel regularly within UK and occasionally mainland Europe.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with internal teams.
