Overview:

The Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) Lead for EMEA will oversee and lead the EMEA HRBP team, partner with Strategic Business Unit (SBU) leadership, and advise on complex employee relations. This role is essential for ensuring alignment between business operations and HR practices, supporting assigned business units, and acting as a strategic advisor to leaders and employees.



Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of HR Business Partners across the EMEA region.
  • Foster a supportive environment that encourages collaboration and high performance.

Strategic Partnership:

  • Partner with senior leaders to drive change, improve organizational effectiveness, and implement people strategies.
  • Establish credible working relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, partners, and employees.

Employee Relations:

  • Manage complex employee relations cases with confidence and expertise, ensuring consistency in approach and mitigating risk.
  • Proactively address employee relations issues and provide guidance to leaders on handling these matters.

Performance Management:

  • Partner with leaders on the performance management process, identify trends, and drive plans to resolve issues in training, compensation, staffing, and employee relations.
  • Utilize tools to provide metrics and reporting that inform people decisions, such as recruiting, engagement, and turnover metrics.

People Development:

  • Help leaders identify skills gaps and create plans to address them.
  • Collaborate with Learning and Development to ensure programs meet business needs.

Compliance and Legal:

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, providing practical commercial advice.
  • Oversee onboarding and offboarding processes, maintaining consistency and regulatory compliance.

Project Management:

  • Contribute to and lead EU-wide people projects aimed at enhancing the employee experience.
  • Champion A&M’s core values and advocate for best HR practices.

Data and Analytics:

  • Provide senior leadership with key employee metrics and analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Leverage A&M global technology platforms and other tools to maintain employee data for regulatory, recruitment, and reporting purposes.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with extensive HR generalist and employee relations experience, ideally within a professional services firm.
  • Proven track record of influencing senior management and handling non-routine employee relations scenarios.
  • Proven experience of leading and managing a team.
  • Strong organizational skills, commercial awareness, and client-facing skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint; Workday experience is a plus.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK employment law (EU knowledge is a plus); experience working across European jurisdictions is desirable.
  • Analytical reasoning, solution-focused problem solver with the ability to think critically and independently.
  • Flexible, resilient, and committed to agile working practices and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in a European language, particularly French or German, is advantageous.
