UK & Ireland Sales Manager

As our Sales Manager for UK&I you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth, fostering customer relationships, and ensuring the success of business across the region.
You’ll be developing and leading the delivery of the annual UK&I sales volume, turnover & margin budget, within budgeted sales costs, and seek to hit annual stretch targets, optimised account allocation and appropriate pricing strategies and tactics.
As part of this role, you will utilise your b2b sales expertise to deliver solutions to customers in the markets that we serve, aligning with Scott Bader's commitment to innovation.
We aren’t just looking for quick, short sales, but aim to develop close working relationships with customers and sales executives, embodying our value of collaboration and partnership. By doing this you will be ensuring that all sales strategies and customer interactions uphold Scott Bader's reputation for excellence and quality in the market.
Some of your key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement commercial plans and strategies according to goals and objectives set by the Europe and Africa Regional sales manager.
- To grow the Scott Bader Commercial business within UK&I, maximising margin, market share and profitability by proactive marketing and field sales direction and support.
- Develop and lead the delivery of the UK&I contribution to the 5-year business strategy to significantly grow the sales of key speciality product groups.
- Work collaboratively with the manufacturing sites and product management to help ensure the correct balance is achieved between customer service, stock levels, optimum plant utilisation and manufacturing/operational costs.
- Oversee the business relationship with the top 10 customers in UK&I, including leadership & direction of price negotiations and customer projects where needed or appropriate, and developing strong & effective relationships with key decision-makers at these customers.
- Lead the implementation of the speciality-focused sales strategy in the region, ensuring the delivery of strong speciality product sales growth through the development of a strong sales culture and skilled personnel.
What do I need to be successful in this role?
- We would love you to be seasoned sales professional with a minimum of 5 years of industrial sales experience within B2B markets.
- At least 5 years of sales leadership experience within the chemical industry.
- Knowledge and experience of major or key account management with the ability to think strategically across a matrix organisation.
- You will have demonstrable ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships.
- You have a strong awareness of the demands of meeting Sales/Export/Logistics schedules whilst complying with all appropriate legislation.
- Experience of effectively reviewing and interpreting diverse and complex data producing meaningful outcomes
