POSITION PURPOSE :

As the Executive Vice President, Consultative Services, you will be responsible for creating and managing a new department operating at the nexus of AGBS's global strategic vision, with influence resonating throughout AXA, forging pathways to innovation, value realisation, and unwavering commitment to excellence. We are seeking a candidate with strong leadership skills, a proven track record of achieving strategic goals within budget constraints, experience leading teams through change, and the ability to generate revenue.

Instrumental in both developing the right expertise for strategic programs and harnessing in-house talent, they are entrusted with profound service delivery responsibilities. This executive role mandates a deep fusion of technical, functional, and leadership expertise, leading a high-performing team of internal consultants to drive project excellence and value realisation.


This position is vital in transforming AGBS' aspirations into tangible growth, steering the organisation towards a robust, independent consultative ecosystem, ultimately moving AXA towards a self-sufficient consultative ecosystem, thus enabling the growth of the captive strategy.

We are looking for an experienced Managing Director with a strong focus on profitability. The position may also be suitable for a commercially oriented CFO or COO. The successful candidate should have a track record of driving growth and profitability and possess exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.


ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

Responsibilities include developing business strategies, increasing turnover and profitability, and fostering partner relationships.


Strategic Enterprise Leadership:

  • Drive AXA's global strategic ambition to move closer towards a global shared services model by steering the consultative services team in line with corporate objectives and vision, identifying gaps, and ensuring alignment with enterprise goals.
  • Guide the strategic direction of AXA GBS, influencing high-impact decisions and ensuring consistent value delivery across global projects.
  • Lead the consulting arm, in harmony with organisational priorities, discerning misalignments, and reinforcing convergence with overarching corporate milestones.


Capability & Capacity Building:

  • Build, lead, and evolve a world-class internal consulting team, spanning across domains such as research, project management, PMO, business analytics, IT architecture, and other vital areas of expertise.
  • Minimise external consultant reliance, catalysing fiscal prudence, expedited resolutions, and seamless project orchestration.


Consulting Expertise:

  • Leverage profound consulting background to provide thought leadership, mentorship, and insights, ensuring that projects and strategic programs meet the highest standards of excellence.
  • Improve the quality of deliverables, leading to enhanced stakeholder satisfaction and more successful project outcomes.


Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Foster collaborative relationships with global stakeholders, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs and aligning the consulting team's deliverables accordingly.
  • Strengthen cross-functional collaboration and ensure alignment with stakeholder expectations, resulting in better project outcomes and stronger inter-departmental cohesion.


Knowledge Management:

  • Champion the creation and maintenance of a knowledge base, ensuring that best practices, lessons learned, and expertise are shared and accessible across AXA entities.

Resource Allocation:

Performance Management:

  • Monitor, review, and enhance the performance metrics for the consulting team, ensuring that they consistently deliver value and meet AXA's exacting standards. o Maintain a consistent level of excellence, identify areas for improvement, and drive continuous growth and evolution of the team.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :

  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field; a master's degree or MBA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of consulting experience, preferably with a top-tier consulting firm.
  • Proven track record in leading large, globally dispersed teams and delivering high-impact projects.
  • Deep expertise in a multitude of consulting domains, including but not limited to project management, business analytics, and IT architecture.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
