Revenue & Reservations Manager - Maternity Cover


STAY Worldwide is looking for a Revenue & Reservations Manager Maternity cover for a fixed term. This is an individual with the drive to not only have an impetus on reservations and revenue but also on teams, work collaboratively with Marketing and Sales and to be able to achieve the greater organizational need.

The ideal candidate will have the drive to convert enquiries, good mentoring skills, ensuring the team always asks high value questions and be able to sell and convert, promote and be perfect brand ambassadors over the phone. The role reports directly into VP – Operations.


Job Purpose:

To manage the reservations team, overseeing all daily reservation activities along with managing group stays, online channels, revenue management and lease management contracts. To ensuring that occupancy levels are maximised at the highest possible ADR’s, revenue targets delivered, whilst delivering consistent excellent customer service to agreed SLA’s. The role is instrumental in leading the commercial strategy of the property and driving revenue and profits.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • To oversee the reservations department, ensuring that monthly sales targets are delivered at all time.
  • To motivate and drive the reservations team ensuring a professional and team orientated working environment
  • Drive and manage reservations team performance, setting up and refining departmental procedures and be proactive towards achieving the best out of the team
  • To coach, counsel, motivate and develop team members on a regular basis
  • To ensure that the reservations call standards are maintained
  • To ensure that budget is achieved by maximising on room sales through managing the rate levels and occupancy strategy in liaison with the Director of Sales
  • To ensure the department is always adequately staffed and motivated to deliver high levels of guest service
  • To ensure all training is recorded and evaluated
  • Ensure that the Property Management System (PMS) is maintained up to date and all reservation details are recorded with 100% accuracy
  • Participate in strategy meetings and help set departmental targets to grow the business through proactive selling and effective conversion of all enquiries
  • Acting as the escalation point for all issues raised within the Reservations Department
  • Prepare reporting as required by Head of Revenue
  • To monitor the revenue recovered from no-shows and late cancellations
  • Assist the revenue executive in achieving maximum room rate, yield and conversions
  • Monitor occupancy, overbooking, tracking of promotional offers, denials, rate and inventory control
  • To participate in the preparation of the annual budget and revenue plan
  • Collaborate with Director of Sales regarding short, mid and long-term rate strategies


Experience & Qualifications:


  • Revenue & Reservations management experience within the hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing successful revenue management strategies, including yield
  • management, pricing optimization, and market positioning.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, proficient in data interpretation.
  • In-depth understanding of the local and regional hospitality market, including industry trends, competitor analysis, and market segmentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a history of effectively working with cross-functional teams to gather insights and translate them into revenue strategies.
  • Meticulous and detail-oriented, ensuring accurate rate loading in CRS and PMS systems while maintaining data integrity.
  • Must have 2-3 years’ experience within management/supervisory role in a Reservations/Revenue department of a serviced apartments or hotel business

Location:

  • Based at STAY HQ in Camden but may need to travel to other locations globally as required and reporting into Director of Sales with dotted line to VP Operations STAY. Shifts are organised in conjunction with the line Manager to ensure cover is always provided. Weekend working may be required at times, and the nature of the role will require a high degree of flexibility
