Their shoes are designed and developed in Portland, renowned as a hub for performance footwear innovation. Products are manufactured to the highest standards, with a strong belief that functionality should never be compromised. R.A.D® prioritizes both performance and aesthetics, ensuring their products are not only functional but also stylish enough to be worn in any setting.


In the product lineup, the company launched in 2022 with the release of the R.A.D® ONE, an all-purpose training shoe built to handle a variety of activities with ease. In 2023 they released their first running shoe, the R.A.D® R-1, which serves as a reliable daily training shoe, ideal as the workhorse of a running routine. Their apparel line includes lifestyle garments with a classic skate-inspired fit, designed for long-lasting wear. R.A.D® has seen exceptionally high brand engagement and growth since launch and is entering an exciting phase of development with expanded lines across existing and new markets.


R.A.D® is focused on challenging outdated stereotypes that portray sports and training as overly macho, intimidating, or exclusive. Recognizing the broad impact of sports across all areas of society, the company aims to be a force for positive change. They offer performance footwear and apparel designed for versatility and escape.


The Role


The Marketing Director will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness, drive new customer acquisition, and continue building an engaged community in an authentic manner.


This role requires a leader with extensive marketing experience who excels in leading teams in community, out-of-home and digital marketing.


Skills & Requirements:


  • Experience in delivering a marketing strategy that is heavily focused on brand and community, not just digital marketing channels.
  • An understanding of sport and cultural trends that may impact how we market our brand and products.
  • An appreciation of the link between product and marketing. Understanding the importance of emotional storytelling in selling footwear & apparel.
  • Leading a team, in a small fast-paced business.
  • Working with senior management with proficiency in presenting recommendations for marketing spend and projected investment ROI.
  • Excellent time management & stakeholder management skills
  • Ensure best in class communications internally- ensuring that you display a problem solving attitude & display skills that can actively promote positive stakeholder buy in.
