As a Global Digital Marketing Director you will be responsible for creating and executing on marketing strategies that drives meaningful relationships with our B2C prospects and customers. The incumbent will be both creative and well-versed in a wide variety of marketing areas, including content, community, and lifecycle marketing. The Director of Marketing will lead in the development, implementation and execution of specific marketing plans. The incumbent will assume responsibility for building and implementing marketing programs, monitor customer needs, and evaluating the effectiveness of the various marketing initiatives. The Global Lead of Marketing will initially have at lease 1 direct report and will be responsible for building a best in class marketing team to support the growth of this business until. This individual must be a “player coach” and be prepared to be a strategic leader and execute on the strategy when needed.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Build and own the marketing process, including branding, product marketing, strategy development, community building, content marketing and lifecycle marketing

• Own the brand voice, tone, editorial style and content guidelines across the marketing team.

• Leverage ETS’s massive body of peer-reviews academic papers to create digestible pieces of content that help ETS become the defining voice.

• Lead our blog and other publishing channels, including the operational management, editorial calendar, story selection and development, production, publishing, optimization, promotion, and results reporting.

• Manage our website copy and content with copywriting and design; email marketing, and and product marketing.

• Leading and building high-performing teams.

• Build, mentor, and lead a results-driven marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and accountability.

• Drive growth by continuously evolving the product's communication strategy to adapt to changes in the media landscape and consumer behavior, utilizing data-based insights


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


• Expertise building engaging online communities and creating content marketing based on data and research.

• Advanced writing and editing skills, and a high bar for quality.

• A collaborative approach, teaming across functions and with partners.

• Experience re-purposing existing content into new content types for use in diverse channels.?

• An understanding of modern CMS and UX; ability to supervise content creation on AEM, Wordpress, etc.).

• Experience setting and measuring performance against content and channel metrics.?

• Detailed knowledge of current online tools and marketing trends, including SEO, funnel analytics, community management, etc.

• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

• Excellent aptitude for detail and accuracy and analytical skills.

• Bachelor’s Degree is required, a Masters Degree in Marketing or an MBA is preferred

• 10+ years of marketing experience at a successful consumer education technology brand
