Is a dynamic London-based catering company specialising in large-scale festival-like events at a prestigious central London venue. Their expertise lies in delivering high-volume, high-energy events with creativity, precision, and exceptional service. They are looking for a highly skilled Event Operations Manager to oversee all operational aspects of our venue-based catering, ensuring seamless delivery and exceeding client expectations.
Role Overview:
As the Event Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end operations for large-scale events, focusing on efficiency, team management, and client satisfaction. You will ensure that our venue consistently delivers outstanding food and beverage services while maintaining the highest standards of health and safety. This role requires hands-on leadership and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, festival-style event environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Event Operations Management: Lead and manage all operational elements for large-scale events, from planning to execution, ensuring smooth delivery of services.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and coordinate on-site catering teams, including chefs, servers, and logistics staff, ensuring all personnel are aligned and motivated to meet event requirements.
- Client Liaison: Act as the main point of contact for the venue’s stakeholders and clients, ensuring that all needs are met, and expectations are exceeded.
- Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and third-party vendors to ensure timely delivery and setup of all necessary event components.
- Logistics and Setup: Oversee the setup and breakdown of events, ensuring all equipment, food, and beverages are delivered and arranged to specifications.
- Health and Safety: Ensure all operations comply with relevant health, safety, and hygiene regulations, implementing risk assessments and maintaining high safety standards.
- Budget Management: Monitor operational budgets for events, ensuring cost-efficiency without compromising quality or service.
- Quality Control: Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and service, conducting regular checks to guarantee consistency.
- Event Troubleshooting: Provide proactive solutions for any issues that arise during events, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining a positive guest experience.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager in large-scale events, festivals, or catering.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with a hands-on approach to operations.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing several events at once.
- Strong knowledge of food service operations, health and safety regulations, and catering logistics.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Exceptional communication and client relationship management skills.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering excellence in every event.
