About Us:

At Life after Cancer, we are dedicated to supporting individuals after cancer treatment. Our mission is to create a world where those who have had cancer feel less alone and can manage their wellbeing. With three years of funding secured from the Lottery, we are expanding our reach through strategic partnerships and collaborations to deliver compassionate, impactful support.


Role Overview:

We’re looking for a compassionate, driven, and sales-oriented Partnership Development Coordinator to help us extend our impact. In this role, you will generate leads, establish, and grow partnerships with NHS Trusts, private hospitals, medical professionals, councils, cancer charities, and social prescribing networks across England. You’ll play a key role in raising awareness of our services, ensuring they are recognised and accessible to those who need them most. This role is largely remote, with bi-weekly meetings in Waltham Forest, ideal for someone who values autonomy and meaningful work.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Build 100+ Partnerships: Develop and strengthen relationships with NHS Trusts, private hospitals, medical professionals, councils, cancer charities and social prescribing networks over the next nine months. Use online workshops, talks and evaluations to ensure our services are recognised and readily signposted by partners.
  • Lead Generation and Sales-Oriented Outreach: Use your sales skills to generate leads and secure contracts for our health care worker training and coaching programme, expanding the reach of our services.
  • Corporate Engagement: Establish partnerships that contribute grant income and sponsorship opportunities to support our work.
  • Research and Relationship Building: Identify key individuals, events, and opportunities (conferences, workshops, webinars) to engage potential partners.
  • Collaborative Engagement: Work with our Marketing and Community Coordinator to boost self-referrals and engage influencers and advocacy groups to expand our reach.


Given our small team, flexibility to support additional tasks is appreciated.


About You:

  • Sales-oriented, empathetic and driven by mission
  • Experienced in partnership development, ideally with a background in sales, outreach, or lead generation
  • Skilled in building and maintaining strong relationships with healthcare professionals, charities and corporate partners
  • Familiar with the cancer support or healthcare sector is a plus
  • Existing connections within the cancer industry are a valuable asset
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving
