Orators is a global dining club for world travellers who want to connect with local people and the finest cuisine, in their home city and on the road. Our membership is open exclusively to great conversationalists, humorists and storytellers.
Head of Partnerships
Orators is looking for a Head of Partnerships to help drive membership growth in our launch city London and beyond. Our ambition is to launch 5 cities by the end of 2025 and believe the model can support dozens of cities globally.
During the pre-launch phase in any specific city, you will focus on creating partnerships with brands, organisations, publications, communities and influencers with local relevance. As we get to a global foothold, with multiple activated cities on every continent, your focus will expand to partnerships with global relevance.
Partnerships ultimately drive membership growth for Orators but they should also align with our ultra high-end brand. From a brand perspective our partnerships should be additive and reinforce our positioning as one of the most exclusive, global & private communities in the world. We will be extremely selective about which partnerships we take on and keep to a limited number of high impact partnerships, to ensure quality is not lost to quantity.
You will be working closely with the Founder/CEO across the following areas of responsibility:
- Develop a local & global partnership strategy for Orators.
- Develop partnership targets based on a broader vision of the community and the experience that we want to build.
- Work to ensure a pipeline of prospective partners is established and maintained through outbound sales.
- Work to refine sales assets and communications that effectively present the Orators value proposition.
- Build and maintain close personal relationships with a limited number of key partners.
- Collaborate with other team members on cross-departmental partnership opportunities i.e. long term commercial partnerships with restaurants & hospitality groups, influencer affiliate deals and more.
- Manage the sales CRM and ensure all partnership communications are recorded.
- Report on performance and forecasts regularly.
- Travel and work in new cities to perform the necessary on-location work required during pre-sales, launch and for ongoing check ins.
This is a start up and as a result there are things that will be needed outside of your specific remit including but not limited to:
- Care deeply about the member experience being exceptional throughout, especially beyond partnerships.
- Collaborate with those leading on the member acquisition, experience and operations of Orators, to deliver consistently excellent member feedback.
- Collaborate to refine a playbook that will set the template for how we launch new cities.
- Attend dinners regularly.
- Willingness to get involved in all aspects of the business as required.

- Possess exceptional presentational & negotiation skills.
- Be action-orientated, to drive membership growth.
- Preferred/nice to have - direct experience operating within an exclusive high-end private members club.
