We are seeking enthusiastic Casual Events Waiters/Waitresses to join our team here at Claridges.

Set in the heart of Mayfair, Claridges is an art deco icon and a byword for understated elegance. Since the 1850s, Claridges has excelled at the finer things in life: glamorous design, inspiring dining, impeccable service. There are many 5-star hotels in London but nowhere quite like Claridges. The hotel is a unique combination of splendour and charm with long-standing connections with royalty that have led to it sometimes being referred to as annexe to Buckingham Palace. Claridges has a famous all-day dining and Afternoon Tea restaurant the Foyer & Reading Room, LEpicerie that offers a culinary theatre of the kitchen, and three bars: Claridges Bar, the intimate Fumoir and effortlessly elegant Painters Room.

Claridges is one of Londons premiere party venues for guests from rock stars to royalty. From grand balls to cocktail parties, our legendary Art Deco hotel offers an exquisite setting for celebrations large and small.

Scope and Purpose

The ideal candidate would have a real interest in the hospitality industry. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience in a 5* property and also be involved in large events. We are looking for an enthusiastic Waiter/ess to join our highly motivated and focused team at this prestigious five super-luxury star hotel.

Entry Requirements

Previous hotel Waiter/ess experience would be an advantage but not essential. You must be able to communicate effectively, maximise resources, adhere to strict Hygiene standards and adhere to Health and Safety regulations. A flexible approach is imperative to the ever-changing demands of the Department.

Other desirable skills include:

  • Good people skills
  • Passion about proving great service
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Good communication skills

Main Responsibilities:

  • Offer a warm and genuine welcome to guests, including arrival meet & greet and offer assistance throughout your shift
  • Prepare hot beverages and basic alcoholic drinks
  • Serve Food & Beverages to Claridges standards
  • To be able to carry Silver Service with confidence
  • Carry out cleaning of departmental equipment and rooms
