Gretna Green are looking to recruit Experience Hosts for our soon to open Famous Blacksmiths Gretna Green Experience. To work as part of a dynamic team at our five-star visitor attraction where quality and attention to detail is essential in promoting andselling the history, experiences and range of products the Gretna Green Experience offers.

**Required skills include**:

- Providing a warm welcome to visitors and interacting with visitors throughout their visit
- Ensuring every opportunity is taken to increase sales and to convert visitors to customers
- Ensuring that the Gretna Green Experience is presented to the best effect
- Welcoming and assisting with wedding parties, christening parties, celebrants and registrars
- Conducting non-religious Blacksmiths Blessings and Hand-fastings
- To promote in-house photography
- To perform fun wedding re-enactments, where visitors are given an interactive experience of a runaway marriage
- Conducting guided tours and talks about the Gretna Green history
- Promote a positive perception of the company at all times both internally & externally
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of services and products available on-site and the history of Gretna Green
- Take part in media activities organised by the business
- Be accountable for their own development through the Performance and Development Review (Appraisal) process seeking out opportunities to learn new skills

**Key Skills & Experience include**:

- Good standard of education essential - numerate/literate
- Customer Care/Selling Skills training is desirable
- Out-going, fun-loving personality with a great imagination
- Polite, friendly and approachable
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good organisational skills and time management
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with audiences of all ages and abilities
- Selling skills desirable
- Customer focus essential
- Cash handling experience is desirable

**Hours of work**:4/5 days per week out of 7 which will include weekends.

**Rate of pay**:Up to £9.75 per hour (dependant on age)

**Location**: Gretna Green, DG16 5EA
