Web & Digital Marketing Manager

We are looking for a skilled Web and Digital Marketing Manager to join our Digital team here at Gretna Green Ltd. In this position, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of our web and digital activities, as well as leadingthe implementation of our Web and Digital Marketing Strategy, including supporting our small team of Digital executives in achieving their key accountabilities.

Gretna Green Ltd, founded in 1885, is a fifth-generation family business, and home to the Famous Blacksmiths Shop, since 1754. Alongside our multi-award-winning wedding business, we are the proud owners of 3 hotels, a retail/family attraction, The FamousBlacksmiths Gretna Green Experience, the Old Toll Bar Café, and the Canny Scot Shop, and our Queen’s Award-winning Ecommerce business.
**Responsibilities**
- Lead, supervise and motivate our team of Digital Executives to support them in meeting their KPIs and accountabilities.
- Supporting the Head of Digital in managing, implementing, and reporting on campaigns, as well as contributing ideas and suggestions to improve growth strategies
- Monitoring campaign budgets and ensuring that campaigns are performing to targets and preparing accurate reports on our marketing campaign’s overall performance
- Coordinating with external digital marketing platforms and online partnerships
- Identifying the latest trends and technologies affecting our industries to support Digital growth
- Monitoring website performance to targets
- Managing and accountability for website content, external agencies, hosting and general website updates
- Manging the company Paid advertising - Google Adwords, Facebook Marketing etc.
- Ensuring that the company websites are SEO optimised and performing to best practice
- Working with the team to develop new and innovative digital growth strategies
- Managing the Digital department in the Head of Digital’s absence, as well as day-to-day line management for the junior digital team
- Collaborating with the Marketing, Sales and PR teams to improve marketing results, sales and ROI
- Using analytics to identify key customer touchpoints, evaluate the success of digital activities and improve customer experience end-to-end across our digital platforms
- Improve the design, UX, traffic and content of the website
- Maintain consistent brand messaging throughout all platforms
**Key Requirements**
- Experience in a similar or equivalent role
- Experience specifically, in managing and implementing digital marketing strategies
- Excellent knowledge of all digital marketing channels
- Working knowledge of key digital marketing tools, including Google Analytics and Google Search Console
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS, Content Management Systems and website best practices
- Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite - (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) - to create reports and presentations
- Working knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation and Paid Advertising
- Ability to troubleshoot website issues in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and be flexible and adaptive to changing priorities
- Strong attention to detail, with good problem-solving skills
- A balanced focus on commercial growth combined as well as ensuring an excellent overall customer experience
- Fantastic time management skills with the ability to multi-task
- A working knowledge of Adobe Suite
- A team player who takes pride in their work and is not afraid to get 'get their hands dirty’ to get a project over the line
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent content creation and writing skills
- A good understanding of the importance of data
**Good to have**
- Additional Excel experience in creating pivot tables and merging tables to manage data
- Proficient in XHTML, CSS design, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility, firewalls (functionality and maintenance), Access, MySQL and JavaScript
- Google Adwords Certified
- Google Analytics IQ Certified
- Experience in data management, manipulation and segmenting
- Experience using online tools such as Canva, Channable, Google Merchants, SEMRush
- Experience with Cloudflare
