Wedding Host

Gretna Green Ltd, a fourth-generation family business since 1885, own and operate a range of businesses within the Gretna Green and Gretna Villages. Including the 5-star, award-winning Famous Blacksmiths Shop Attractions, a suite of two, multi-award-winning hotels, the Old Toll Bar and Canny Scot Shop, and proudly offer weddings, retail, hospitality, and online shopping to a global marketplace.

We are looking for a Wedding Host to join our Wedding Experience Team to help deliver exceptional customer service to wedding couples, ensuring they feel special and have a memorable wedding day. Using a great hospitality, weddings and events knowledge to guide and professionally drive the delivery of weddings and events, ensuring the highest level of guest service.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Assist wedding couples to ensure they are positively communicated with and have a memorable day.
- Ensure all final event details are correct and approved by the wedding couples.
- Be a point of contact for wedding couples during their stay.
- Be the point of contact and offer support to wedding guests with any additional requests.
- Ensuring the functions rooms are set up as requested by the couples.
- Attend daily briefings and communicate with internal hotel teams to ensure seamless premium service.
- Assisting internal teams when required e.g. witnessing, show rounds.
- Ensure all admin it kept up to date and to a high standard.
- Assist and liaise with the Wedding Experience Manager and Venue Hosts.

**Qualifications, Skills and Attributes**
- Qualification in customer care, business, or event management is desirable
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure, problem solve and react to changing priorities.
- Capability to manage own work schedule in accordance with daily requirements.
- Knowledge and understanding of wedding ceremonies.
- Ability to work as part of a team and lone working when required.
- Ability to conduct self gracefully and professionally.
- Experience on IT skills Word/Excel would be beneficial
- Flexible in tasks (and working hours)
- Keen attention to detail
- Previous relevant hotel experience or customer facing role.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £26,000.00 per year
