**About Our Client**:

- Process in a timely and accurate manner all aspects of payroll to both assist the Payroll Manager and to take sole responsibility in their absence. This includes, but is not limited to, accurately processing SMP, SPP, SSP & AEOs in compliance with HMRC rules and policies and procedures.
- Post payroll journals and accruals ,when applicable, at period end.
- Process, check and pay all personal expenses incurred by team members in the performance of their duties. This includes setting up bank payments, recording details and posting the relevant journals.
- Check and validate retail timesheets to ensure accuracy before they are uploaded for payroll processing.
- Investigate and rectify issues raised by team members and managers, making emergency payments when appropriate.
- Supply accurate data to the ONS when requested.
- Produce reports on various aspects of payroll when requested to do so by other members of the Finance Team.
- Be aware of legislation and budget changes which affect payroll processing.
- Liaise with other teams to assist in accuracy of recording staff absence and paying absence in accordance with company policy.
- Providing information and answering team members questions about payroll related matters and able to guide new team members in using the Core system if requested.
- Ensure all necessary payments to external parties, (pension, HMRC etc), are made accurately and on time.
**The Successful Applicant**:
You will be able to fulfll the duties above and be in a position to start immediately and commit to a three month temporary assignment.
