We are looking for a passionate an caring person to join our team as an administration assistant with experience working with various computer systems, including payroll and filing systems.
St. Martin's is opening to residents in early September, and we would be looking for colleagues to join us for training from early August.

**What is St. Martins Extra care?**
St. Martins is a newly built independent living development that has 55 flats, 45 one bedroom and 10 two bedrooms, and is set in the beautiful village of Gillingham in the north of Dorset.

**Overall purpose**
The Administrative Assistant will:
- Undertake a range of general administrative duties to support the efficient operation of a named team or teams, including creating and maintaining records and information.
- Work within agreed principles and guidelines, under the direct supervision of the line manager.
- You will be expected to make decisions within rules and procedures but with some discretion to choose from established alternatives.
- Undertake word processing duties, including letters, memoranda, reports, forms and templates, including complex documents on occasion.
- Provide reception and switchboard services and deal with initial external enquiries, service users and other members of the public, directing them to the appropriate service.
- Take messages on behalf of operational staff, dealing with routine queries and giving appropriate guidance (within defined boundaries) to the caller when required.
Administrators will b responsible for the staff filing system and payroll processing.
**About you**:
You are an accomplished administrator who possesses excellent time management and organisational skills, able to effectively prioritise and deal with a range of tasks, a methodical approach, attention to detail, conversant in Microsoft Office suite, able to work independently or as part of a team. Able to relate to and deal with a range of people including residents, family, health and social care professionals. Some experience of managing petty cash/budgets would be welcome.

Expected hours: 17.5 - 30 per week
