Job summary A new and exciting opportunity for experienced Orthopaedic ACPs to join our developing team within the Central Hampshire Orthopaedic Hub is now available.
The hub, situated in Royal Hampshire County Hospital (RHCH) in Winchester, will be the first of its kind within the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System (ICS), to deliver a collaborative service for patients of multiple acute providers, in this case HHFT and UHS.
This new development will comprise inpatient and day case areas, 2 theatres and a recovery space for lower limb arthroplasty patients supported by Consultant Orthopaedic Consultants from both Trusts and is planned to open in May 2025.In building our team of 3 ACPs and 2 trainee ACPs for this exciting development, we are looking for two motivated and experienced Orthopaedic ACP's to commence in the new year to work alongside the ACP we have already recruited and to support and supervise the clinical development of 2 trainee ACPs already successfully recruited.
Main duties of the job The successful applicant will be involved in establishing and delivering a high-quality service using state of the art models of care, for patients undergoing elective joint replacement surgery by facilitating an ambulatory lower limb arthroplasty pathway.
In addition to clinical supervision of the trainees, you will work with key stakeholders to develop clinical pathways, audit and governance structures, that will establish a culture of innovation, productivity and constant improvement amongst the wider multidisciplinary team.
Ultimately, this will result in the provision of medical care for day case and inpatient arthroplasty patients; the coordination of admissions and list planning; discharge planning and liaising with Anaesthetic and Surgical Consultants, escalating where appropriate.If this role appeals and you have the required knowledge, experience, skills, motivation and resourcefulness we welcome your application.
