Practice Education Lead For Children'S And Tya Cancer

Job overview We are looking to a recruit an experienced oncology nurse with a passion for education in paediatric and TYA cancer.
Oxford is the tertiary centre for paediatric and TYA cancer for the Thames Valley region.
The role will support and deliver education across the region as well as in the primary treatment centre.The post holder will be part of a national group of educators and implement a education strategy based on national recommendations and feed into the group showcasing local excellence.
Main duties of the job Promote high standards of care throughout the TVCA Children's and TYA (Teenager & Young Adult) CAG through the demonstration of clinical expertise• Promote full compliance with nationally agreed standards for nurse training in the field Children's and TYA cancer care.• Lead in the creation of a clinical areas that encourage practice development; audits practice and disseminates information on developments• Facilitate the creation of a positive learning environments where staff development is encouraged and supported• Facilitate the induction, education and continuing professional development for all levels of trained nursing staff and non-registered clinical support staff.• Contribute to education throughout the Trust and beyond Working for our organisation Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the country.
