Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Deputy Nursing Manager to join our Cancer and Haematology Outpatients team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the OPD Nurse Manager in the operational management of staff and resources to ensure a safe environment for patients. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team, providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of the service philosophy.

Main Duties:
  1. Assist the OPD Nurse Manager in ensuring patients attending OPD are cared for to the highest possible standard.
  2. Develop practice with the support of the OPD manager.
  3. Take the lead in a specific aspect of OPD service, including practicing clinically in an agreed care setting according to approved protocols or guidance.

Requirements:

Education/Training

Essential
  1. Registered nurse entry on part 1 or 2 of the NMC Register.
  2. In possession of or working towards degree-level education or demonstrate experience of working at this level.
  3. Knowledge of cancer care or palliative care.

Desirable
  1. Teaching/management qualification.
  2. Postgraduate degree.

Estimated Salary Range: £42,000 - £56,000 per annum,
