Business Development Manager (Construction)
Due continued growth we are recruiting on behalf of our client, a specialist and award winning drylining and exteriors company, for a Business Development Manager to join their team. Based out of companies Bristol office, you will join a fast pace, well organised working environment and will be pivotal in generating new business and sales across the Southwest & London area.
To be considered for the role you must have:
* track record buying products for use within the civil engineering sector
* track record of building and maintaining relationships with internal teams and supply chain
* ability to support multiple contracts and working to strict deadlines, attention to detail with the ability to identify commercial risks and proposals to mitigate
* flexible approach and able to work under pressure
* experience of the commercial build environment is preferable
Key responsibilities include:
* Developing and implementing strategic business development plans to drive growth and expand our market share.
* Drive the future pipeline of works by identifying and pursuing new tender opportunities
* Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes.
* Exploring leads through multiple channels.
* Scheduling appointments and engaging in on site visits.
* Forecasting potential new revenue.
* Building and maintaining excellent relationships with potential clients to form long term partnerships.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tailored solutions that meet client’s specific requirements.
* Continually monitor and evaluate market conditions, pricing trends and competitor strategies.
* Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and conferences to promote our services and establish a strong brand presence.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Business Development Manager, ideally within the construction industry.
* Knowledge on drylining and associate trades advantageous.
* Minimum two years’ experience in a Business Development role.
* Results orientated mindset with the ability to meet and exceed business targets.
* Demonstrated history of success with a robust commitment to achieving outstanding results.
* Exceptional business acumen with a strategic mindset to capitalise on market opportunities.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Self-motivated professional with a strong aptitude for innovative thinking.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Full UK driving licence.
* CSCS card.
