Responsibilities:

✅ Manage a team of 4, overseeing all Accounts Payable functions within the organisation.

✅ Plan, review, and evaluate the team's tasks and performance to ensure efficient operations.

✅ Establish and implement procedures and guidelines in line with standards to mitigate the risk of theft, fraud, and errors.

✅ Use guidelines to ensure effective internal controls over Accounts Payable functions.

✅ Ensure equal distribution of workload, assist team members, and address internal and external queries promptly.

✅ Process electronic transfers and payments, manage staff expenses, and conduct aged creditor reviews.

✅ Reconcile Accounts Payable transactions and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness.

✅ Authorise payment runs and cultivate a culture of inclusivity and respect within the team.

✅ Communicate effectively with coworkers and collaborate with the wider accounts team.

✅ Ensure proper coding and posting of invoices to the correct general ledger accounts.

✅ Support testing for projects and upgrades when required.

✅ Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in the accounts payable function.

✅ Undertake ad hoc tasks as necessary.

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

✔️ Accounts payable qualification - AAT / ACCA

✔️ Experience as an Accounts Payable Manager in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

✔️ Strong written and oral communication skills.

✔️ Professional attitude and ability to interact with individuals at all levels.

✔️ Customer-focused approach and proficiency in Oracle-based systems.

✔️ Highly numerate with excellent attention to detail.

✔️ Proficiency in Excel and experience working with multiple Outlook inboxes.

✔️ Strong leadership skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

✔️ Historic experience using NetSuite.

✔️ Previous experience in the service industry, particularly in manpower management.

Technologies: Oracle, Excel, NetSuite, Outlook
