**Job Overview**

We are seeking an experienced Residential Care Manager to join our team at a luxurious care home in Chesham, Buckinghamshire. As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for the overall management of the residential unit, ensuring all residents receive the highest possible standards of care.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous management experience within a care home environment and extensive senior experience in elderly/dementia care. The ideal candidate will have a strong leadership style, with the ability to motivate and effectively manage a large team.

The salary for this role is £40,000 per annum, plus pay enhancements for bank holidays, paid breaks, free meals on shift, and many more benefits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the residential unit, ensuring high-quality care and services are delivered to residents.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of staff, providing regular feedback, coaching, and support.
  • Collaborate with health professionals to ensure residents receive appropriate care and treatment.
  • Conduct audits, medication administration, and ensure compliance with CQC guidelines.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans, working closely with the care team to meet individual resident needs.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous management experience within a care home environment - essential.
  • Extensive senior experience within an elderly/dementia care home.
  • Minimum Level 3 NVQ in Health and Social Care.
  • A flexible approach to working hours.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and effectively manage a large team.
  • Previous experience of completing audits, medication administration.
  • Good understanding and experience of CQC fundamental standards.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills and the ability to perform under pressure.
