Job Description

As a Senior Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in leading on medicines management, providing specialist advice to multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery and make informed decisions to optimize patient outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Manage patients across Barking and Dagenham as part of the Emotional Wellbeing Mental Health Services (EWMHS), 0-19 and neurodevelopmental services to children and young people in the geography.
  • Provide specialist expert pharmaceutical information and advice to multidisciplinary teams, particularly within children and young people services and where applicable to others involved in a patient's care.
  • Develop and deliver the pharmacy relevant training packages to assist medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff across their area.
  • Work with quality and patient safety teams to review quality and risk management issues related to pharmacy and medicine management.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you must possess:

  • GPHC registration.
  • A clinical diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Non-medical prescriber (V300) certification.
  • NVQ level 2 or equivalent literacy and numeracy skills.
