Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our team in Mid-Essex SET CAMHS. As a senior member of the multi-disciplinary team, you will play a key role in providing high-quality mental health services to children and young people.

Job Description
  • To complete comprehensive assessments of children and young people's mental health with their families and carers.
  • To develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including risk management and safety planning.
  • To provide specialist individual interventions with a wide variety of children and young people, from 3 to 19 years old, presenting problems at the most severe end of the spectrum.
  • To supervise and support staff in delivering mental health treatments to children and young people.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a qualified professional with:

  • A degree in a core profession (Social Work, Mental Health Nursing, Psychotherapy, Clinical Psychology).
  • Registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body (HCPC, NMC, UKCP, BABCP).
  • Experience working with complex and high-risk mental health presentations in children and young people.
