Children's Wellbeing Practitioner

The post holder will accomplish this by providing high-quality, brief, outcome-focused, evidence-based interventions for children and young people (CYP) experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues, with clinical supervision and support from a CWP supervisor and other qualified clinicians. They will regularly measure clinical outcomes and administer evidence-based clinical interventions, in accordance with the CYP-IAPT programme. The post holder must possess a CWP qualification (e.g., Postgraduate Certificate in Child and Young Persons Psychological Wellbeing Practice) or equivalent, demonstrating the necessary knowledge, attitudes, and capabilities to function effectively within an inclusive, value-driven service. The post holder is expected to consistently offer a "client-focused" service that emphasizes excellent customer service and fosters effective working relationships.
**Key Responsibilities**: The appointee will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, providing high-quality, brief, outcome-focused, evidence-based interventions for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health issues. - The appointee will deliver clinical interventions within the care pathways under the supervision of a senior psychological practitioner. They will regularly measure clinical outcomes in accordance with the CYP-IAPT program. They will promote the mental and emotional health of children, young people, and families in the community through evidence-based clinical interventions. They will conduct initial assessments in community settings and provide a range of early interventions for children and young people with various emotional and behavioural difficulties. They will offer direct services to children, young people, and their families in an accessible and non-stigmatizing environment, grounded in the best research evidence and within clinical governance. Leadership - The role includes being part of an effective team and fostering productive working relationships across the Trust. The role involves working in partnership to support children and young people with mild to moderate mental health issues and their families in managing their difficulties. The role requires facilitating the development of a positive and supportive team culture by managing potential conflicts effectively. The role includes participating in the audit process and contributing to the clinical governance agenda. The role involves advising, supporting, and sharing knowledge with colleagues, drawing on the latest research and practice developments through literature and peer reviews. Clinical/therapeutic skills - The role involves assessing and providing outcome-focused, evidence-based interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health issues.
