About the Role

Orchard Cottage Care Ltd is seeking an experienced and compassionate Residential Child Care Worker to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our young residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Actively safeguarding and promoting the rights of children and young people
  • Teaching life skills and coping strategies
  • Building confidence, self-esteem, and resilience
  • Accompanying young people to and from education
  • Facilitating family time and creating a warm, comforting environment

Requirements

  • Experience working with Autism and disabilities
  • Relevant qualifications, ideally SVQ in Children and Young People and HNC in Social Services
  • Ability to register with the SSSC and maintain registration throughout employment
