Community Dementia Support Specialist

At Alzheimer Scotland, we are committed to providing high-quality support to individuals living with dementia and their families. We are seeking a skilled Community Dementia Support Specialist to join our team in Fife.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will work within the Community Mental Health Team at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline, to provide person-centred support to people living with dementia. This role requires effective communication skills, empathy, and relationship building to connect individuals with their community and enable them to live well with dementia.
About the Role:
This is a part-time permanent contract of 1x28 hours per week. The post requires a full driving license and access to a car. You will be working closely with colleagues within Alzheimer Scotland, the NHS, and other stakeholders to build and maintain relationships and provide high-quality support.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Recognised relevant professional qualification
- Good understanding of dementia and how it affects people and their families
- Excellent communication skills
- Warm and flexible approach
- Skills in empathy and relationship building
- Digital platform skills essential
Benefits:
