About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Despatch Shunter Operator. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of our yard and the delivery of our products to customers.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out trained yard vehicle shunting tasks via verbal instructions from Despatch shift manager, operations staff and Team leaders.
  2. Provide a full trailer list for all fridge units on site to the operations managers and staff at the start of each day and update the list throughout the working day.
  3. Report any damage to vehicles and trailers on site immediately to the Despatch or operations manager and operations staff.

Requirements:

  • You will need to be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff members employed within the company and visiting haulage drivers in a pleasant and Courteous manner at all times.
  • You will need to be able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
