Job Overview

Axcis Education Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to provide specialized support for a student with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs in a Primary School located in South Croydon.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will collaborate with the teacher to develop and implement individualized learning plans that address the student's unique emotional and academic needs. They will utilize positive behavior support strategies to help the student manage their emotions and behaviors, fostering a sense of self-regulation and resilience.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist the student in building social skills through structured activities and peer interactions, helping them practice essential communication skills.
  2. Work closely with other staff members, including special education professionals and therapists, to ensure a comprehensive approach to the student's needs.
  3. Understand and apply strategies to support students' well-being and academic success.

Requirements

Applicants should have experience working with students with SEMH needs and be able to demonstrate a commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive environment.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, and the opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals who share our passion for supporting students with SEMH needs.
